- 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year – Permanent
- Salary: £29,556 – £33,342 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)
- Actual Salary: £25,533 – £28,804 per annum
Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Personal Progress Tutor to lead and support our team of Personal Progress Tutors (PPTs) in delivering outstanding pastoral care and academic guidance to our students. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in providing pastoral support within a Further Education (FE) setting, with a proven ability to identify and remove barriers to learning, set and monitor SMART targets, and maintain high standards of student attendance and punctuality.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the work of PPTs and ensure they are fully informed about their tutor groups and equipped to manage At Risk students effectively.
- Support staff management, including conducting tutorial observations, monitoring quality assurance, and sharing best practice across teams.
- Directly supervise a reduced cohort of students, acting as their first point of contact and liaising with next of kin, curriculum teams, and welfare services to ensure a holistic and responsive support system.
