Overview

Lecturer in Quantity Surveying (On-site) at Suffolk New College. 0.5 lecturer (17.5 hours per week) with potential to combine with industry work. Based at Suffolk New College Ipswich campus with travel between campuses as required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver higher-technical qualifications in construction with a focus on the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Quantity Surveying.
  • Contribute to teaching planning, delivery and assessment within the courses you teach.
  • Remain actively engaged with industry to ensure current relevance of the curriculum and learners’ experience.
  • Support learners’ progression and success through high-quality teaching and preparation.

Requirements

  • Experience in Quantity Surveying, either as an educator or industry professional seeking to move into teaching.
  • Ability to teach on higher-level, professional qualifications in building technologies.

Additional information

  • Salary within the range of £27,702 to £41,892 per annum, pro rata for 17.5 hours per week (approximately £13,851 to £20,946 per annum).
  • Starting salary subject to college salary assessment process.
  • This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich campus; the college is a multi-campus site and travel between campuses may be required.
