Job title: Instructor in Dog Grooming (On-Site) – Suffolk New College, Otley, Ipswich. Hours: Part time, 28 hours per week. Salary: £24,633 to £29,373 per year, pro rata. Posting date: 03 September 2025. Closing date: 21 September 2025. Job type: Permanent. Location: On-site only at Suffolk New College (multi-campus site; may travel between campuses).

Summary

Are you a Dog Groomer interested in sharing your skills, knowledge and experience? We are looking for experienced Dog Groomers to join our curriculum team and support the commercial business. You will instruct, coach, encourage and inspire learners to become professional and expert dog groomers in industry.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, coach, encourage and inspire learners to become professional and expert dog groomers in industry.
• Share skills, knowledge and experience within the curriculum team and support the college’s commercial business.
• Be prepared to work at Suffolk New College, Rural Campus and travel between campuses as required.

Qualifications and Salary Progression

• Bar at £26,121 progression requires completion of a recognised teaching qualification. Starting salary subject to College salary assessment process.
• Experience as a Dog Groomer; ability or plan to obtain a recognised teaching qualification.
