Equine Groom (on-site) – Suffolk New College Rural campus

Hours: 14 hours per week, working alternate weekends only (7 hours on Saturday and 7 hours on Sunday).

Salary: £23,559 per annum pro rata (£12.21 per hour). Enhanced hourly rate of £14.10 is paid in lieu of holiday.

Location: Suffolk New College Rural campus, Otley, Suffolk. You may be required to travel between campuses for staff training on occasion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with weekend general yard duties and care for the horses on the equine yard.
  • Ride as required and be trained to use specialist equipment.
  • Contribute to wider College health and safety activities; maintain a good understanding of health and safety and be prepared to undertake related training.

Qualifications

  • Good standard of education.
  • Level 2 Equine Qualification.

  • This post is based at Suffolk New College Rural campus and may involve travel between campuses for training.
  • All appointments are subject to Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
