Within the range of £27,465 to £29,841 per annum *Starting salary subject to College salary assessment process

35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

This is an excellent career opportunity to join the Childcare and Early Years team at Suffolk New College. This role will require you to coach and assess the skills development of the Childcare and Early Years learners in a range of settings including placements offsite and in industry, and 1-1’s and workshops onsite at Suffolk New College.

Working closely with the Childcare and Early Years team, you will pro-actively support and develop the skills of the learners to become the workforce of the future, through an exceptional learner experience.

You will therefore need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent coaching and development skills;
  • Expertise and experience in the Childcare and Early Years sector
  • Ability to build and develop sustainable relationships with young people, employers and external agencies;
  • Creative and innovative approaches, which deliver an exceptional student experience and student outcomes.

As part of this role you will also be required to undertake a range of coaching and supportive tasks to enable the learners to develop their professional skills and standards. Therefore you should also be able to demonstrate proven expertise in a related subject area.

You should also hold an assessors qualification or demonstrate willing to work towards achieving one, maths and English at level 2 or equivalent, and industry experience.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus. However Suffolk New College is a multi campus site and staff may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
