Hours: 24 hours per week

Contract: Seasonal Fixed Term Contract up to 1 October 2026, 2 posts available

We currently have an opportunity to join our Street Cleansing Team as a Seasonal Street Cleansing Operative.

Your role

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated team player to join East Suffolk Services Limited in a seasonal role helping to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of areas owned or maintained by East Suffolk Services, with particular focus on cleansing Aldeburgh’s resort beach areas. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring these popular public spaces remain clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in your work, and want to make a positive impact in your local community, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness through litter collection, bin emptying, and sweeping across designated areas.
  • Working in line with health and safety procedures to protect yourself, your team, and the public.
  • Engaging courteously and professionally with members of the public.
  • Keeping accurate records where required.

What you will need

  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • A full UK driving licence (Category B) is an essential requirement of this role
