Playbox Nursery, which operates under the umbrella of St John\’s Methodist Church, is seeking an amazing Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated, happy team in this preschool setting.

The job is permanent. Initially it is part time 15 hours a week until the summer term then full time 26.25 hours.

Your duties will include:

• caring for and recognise the emotional needs of children aged 2 – 5 years
• planning and supervising daily activities to meet individual children\’s needs
• setting up the room for the day and tidying up at the end of the session
• being responsible for contributing to children\’s learning journeys and writing children\’s reports
• be a dedicated practitioner who wants to support preschool children to develop socially emotionally and intellectually
• have high expectations of learning and behaviour
• enjoy being part of a supportive, pro-active, and energetic team.

You will:

• have good working knowledge of the EYFS statutory standards and Safeguarding
• hold a minimum of level 3 OFSTED appropriate Childcare qualification or be in training
• have experience of working with children in an engaging way
• be able to work well within a team and show initiative.
• be friendly, reliable, and have a flexible attitude
• have good interpersonal skills, being able to communicate well with peers, children\’s parents, carers, and other professionals.
