We are seeking to appoint a proactive and motivated Science Technician to join our Science Department. The role will primarily be within the Chemistry Team with some support across the department required to fulfil the timetable needs. The role requires you to support our staff and students by providing effective and efficient technical and administrative support within the department.
You will join our large and supportive department under the direction of the Subject Lead and will support to coordinate the use, development and delivery of practical science resources, ICT resources and facilities, including the provision of guidance and support in meeting the practical requirements of the science curriculum; liaising with all areas of the College and outside organisations.
Thurston Community College is a large popular mixed comprehensive school (NoR 1481). This post will be based at our Thurston Campus for students from Year 7 to Year 11 which is situated four miles east of Bury St Edmunds. We also host a successful Sixth Form located on our Beyton Campus in a nearby village, offering a bespoke centre of excellence for students in Year 12 and Year 13.
