Job Description

Suffolk County Council – Reablement Support Worker. Home First provides short‑term reablement care to help people stay independent in their own homes.

Your Role And Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and their family carers, promoting health, wellbeing and independence.
  • Support individuals through personalised care plans and short‑term enablement strategies, offering guidance to help them make informed choices.
  • Assist with dignified personal care needs and engage with customers and carers to explore alternative ways of meeting long‑term needs.
  • Promote services that enable safe, independent living at home, monitor progress against care plans and maintain accurate records to support ongoing reviews.

Training and Development

  • Full induction and in‑depth training.
  • Ongoing support from your team.
  • Opportunity to complete a fully funded Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification.

Flexible hours and salary

Full‑time or flexible part‑time hours available from 7.5 to 37 hours per week. Shift rota includes early, late, alternating weekends and bank‑flexible casual hours (paid at £15.08 per hour). Evening and/or weekend working only is available on some contracts. Salary from £25,185 per annum with performance‑related progression up to £28,142 per annum (pro rata for part time).

What You Will Receive

  • Paid for mileage, travel time and any hours worked on bank holidays.
  • Sunday shifts paid at an enhanced rate of time and one‑fifth per hour.

Travel Requirements
