Suffolk County Council is focused on making a meaningful difference to communities across Suffolk. As a Healthy Child Practitioner, you will work directly with children and families to support their social, emotional, physical and developmental wellbeing. You will deliver both universal and targeted support through home visiting, group work and partnership working.
You will:
- Work with families using the Signs of Safety and Wellbeing framework
- Deliver aspects of the Healthy Child Programme and Children’s Centre services
- Support parents to build strong attachments and positive relationships with their children
- Undertake developmental assessments and contribute to planning and evaluating interventions
- Identify early need and provide timely support or referrals
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes
- Promote school readiness, including speech, language and communication development
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service quality assurance
- Support safeguarding by recognising and responding to risks appropriately

We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families. You will bring:
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent experience)
- Experience of working with children (particularly under 5's) and families
- Knowledge of child development, attachment, and early intervention
- Experience of multi-agency working and partnership collaboration
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
- A commitment to continuous learning and reflective practice
