Your role and responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of quality front line services in Waveney.
  • Be an integral part of supporting the Lowestoft Team delivery of high-quality services to the people of Waveney.
  • Work alongside the Lowestoft Team Manager, Senior Practitioners and a dynamic hardworking team of Social Workers, Independence and Well-Being Practitioners and Occupational Therapists.
  • Support the Team Manager in the Leadership and management of the Lowestoft team, ensuring effective operations in planning, staff well-being and development.
  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders and highlight opportunities for joint delivery and reduction in service cost with the health and care system.
  • Monitor and review service delivery whilst supporting staff to deliver best practice, and escalate risks as appropriate.
  • Support the Team Manager with robust budget management and implementing budgetary control mechanisms.
  • Ensure staff are fully engaged with systems transformation, working effectively with the system transformation team.
  • Promote a high-performance culture within the area teams that is flexible, innovative, responsive to changing priorities and empowers people to deliver excellence, best value, and continuous improvement for the people of Suffolk.
