East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work, delivering essential local services and making a real difference to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk. We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Regulatory Compliance Team as a Contracts Manager, Fire Safety.
Your role: The post holder will be responsible for ensuring statutory obligations relating to fire safety in our existing homes is fully complied with. Managing a programme of fire risk assessments, routine inspections, surveys and the resulting remedial works that ensures our residents feel safe and are safe in their homes.
What you will need: The successful candidate will have current knowledge of UK building and fire safety legislation relating to dwellings along with fire safety experience and experience of local government and social housing. The post holder will have a clear understanding of building practices, building performance and fire safety along with good people management skills.
