Suffolk County Council is offering a permanent position for an Administrator with a salary of £25,185 per annum (pro rata for part time) and flexible working options available. You will be at the heart of the team, helping everything run smoothly and ensuring colleagues have the support they need to do their best work.

Your role and responsibilities include:

  • Organising and supporting meetings from booking rooms and preparing papers to taking minutes.
  • Assisting with processing invoices, reconciling accounts, handling petty cash, and updating financial spreadsheets.
  • Providing general admin support such as managing inboxes, drafting correspondence, and keeping filing systems up to date.
  • Booking travel and accommodation for colleagues and service users.
  • Answering telephones, helping resolve queries or signposting to the right person.

We hope you’ll bring:

  • Experience in administration or office-based work (including finance tasks like invoices, budgets, or data entry).
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage your own workload.

  • A proactive mindset, taking initiative and solving problems while working together as a team.
