Cedarwood Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent, highly motivated, creative and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work as part of our successful school team. This exciting role will involve delivering learning across the primary age range, covering classes in the absence of the class teacher and supporting pupils to achieve excellent outcomes.

The successful candidate will have recent experience working within a primary school setting and will be passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential. We are looking for someone who:

  • has recent experience working within a primary school setting
  • has experience of covering classes across the primary age range
  • has undertaken relevant training in teaching and learning, SEND, behaviour support, safeguarding or intervention programmes
  • has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and age-related expectations
  • has experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • can build positive and productive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and ensuring excellent outcomes for all pupils
  • has excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills
  • can work independently, use initiative and respond flexibly to changing circumstances

HLTA Status or a recognised HLTA qualification is desirable.
