Cedarwood Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent, highly motivated, creative and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to work as part of our successful Early Years team. This exciting role will involve supporting teaching and learning within our Foundation Stage provision and working closely with children during the vital early stages of their education. You will have experience of supporting children in Early Years or Year 1 within a primary school setting and will be passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has recent experience working within an Early Years or Year 1 classroom in a primary school
  • has undertaken relevant training in Early Years education, child development, phonics, communication and language, or SEND
  • has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and transition into Key Stage 1
  • has experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • can build positive and nurturing relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and ensuring excellent outcomes for all children
  • has excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.

An Early Years qualification is desirable. Job share applications will be considered.
