One Sixth Form College are seeking to appoint an inspiring and committed Teacher of Motor Vehicle Engineering to join our high-performing team at an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school. This is an exciting growth role, offering the opportunity to help shape and develop an expanding provision within a supportive, ambitious environment where excellence in teaching, learning and industry-relevant practice is central to everything we do.
You will play a key role in maximising student achievement across the Eastern Education Group, delivering engaging, high-quality theoretical and practical learning experiences that equip learners with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed within the motor vehicle industry. You will be responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of Motor Vehicle Engineering programmes, ensuring all teaching and assessment meet Awarding Body, Quality Assurance and industry standards, including health and safety requirements.
As part of this growth role, you will contribute to the development of an innovative and responsive curriculum aligned to current and emerging industry practice, maintaining high-quality schemes of work, lesson plans, workshop activities and course documentation. Working within a collaborative team, you will engage in curriculum development, team and centre meetings, and wider activities such as open evenings, employer engagement and parents’ evenings.
You will work closely with curriculum leaders, progress tutors, support staff and employers to support student recruitment, induction and progress monitoring. A strong commitment to learner success, teamwork and continuous professional development is essential.
