Whitehouse Community Primary School is seeking a Specialist SEN Teacher who is committed to making a difference for pupils with SEND. You will be joining an experienced team and will:
- be a talented practitioner with knowledge and experience of the latest curriculum and practice, including SEND pedagogy and inclusive teaching strategies
- set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils, including those with SEND
- adapt provision and practice responding to the strengths and needs of all pupils, including adapting resources, the learning environment, and using specialist strategies to meet sensory, communication and learning needs
- have the autonomy to organise and set up your classroom environment in a way that best supports the individual needs of your pupils, including creating sensory-friendly spaces, visual supports, and accessible resources
- make accurate and productive use of assessment, including alternative assessment methods for SEND pupils
- use positive behaviour management to foster the emotional wellbeing of all pupils and ensure a safe and happy learning environment
- deliver excellent learning and progress outcomes for all children
- be a strong team player, able to liaise with professionals both within and outside of our school.
