Your role and responsibilities

  • Coordinate SEND boards and committees, ensuring accurate, high-quality papers are prepared and circulated on time.
  • Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and maintain clear records of decisions and actions.
  • Support SEND projects, inspections and monitoring visits by coordinating activity, maintaining project documentation and flagging emerging issues.
  • Produce, format and quality-assure governance reports, presentations and other key documents.
  • Coordinate partnership communications and help support keeping Suffolk Local Offer information accurate and up to date.

You will need:

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads, manage diaries and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience of preparing professional documents, reports, presentations and correspondence.
  • Accurate minute-taking, record-keeping and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, solve problems and remain calm and resilient when priorities change.
  • Experience of building effective relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues, senior leaders and external partner organisations.

The SEND Programme Management Office (PMO) Team sits at the heart of Suffolk’s ambitious SEND Reform Programme, driving transformational change that improves outcomes for children and young people with SEND. Working across education, health, social care and partner organisations, the team provides programme leadership, governance, performance insight, stakeholder engagement and delivery support to turn strategic ambitions into real impact.
