We're looking for a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant who will be the heart of our operation for Old Buckenham Hall School. You'll join the Catering Team in producing and serving nutritious meals to children, staff and visitors.
Ideally you would have a positive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn, a good understanding of hygiene and safety practices in a food preparation environment. In a kitchen environment excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working as part of the school, a caring and patient nature with a genuine interest in supporting children is needed, along with being physically fit for the demands of the role, including lifting and carrying. Experience in working in a kitchen is beneficial.
All staff, contractors, and volunteers have a responsibility and duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils. Staff must be aware of the systems within the school which support safeguarding and must act in accordance with the School’s Safeguarding and Child Protection policy and Code of Conduct. Staff will receive appropriate child protection training which is regularly updated.
