About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an AAT qualified accountant or someone studying towards their professional qualification to play a pivotal role in the Business Partnering Team. In this role you will:
- support the Senior Management Accountant in delivery of the monthly management accounts and Section 151 Officer reporting pack.
- provide financial advice to colleagues and directorates to support financial decision making.
- be heavily involved in the budget setting process, financial monitoring, forecasting and the production of corporate overhead recharges.
About you
We are looking for an experienced Finance professional who can demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and their application for Local Government. You will have experience of preparing budgets and ensuring that stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities when it comes to budgeting and forecasting. You will be able to provide explanatory notes to support actuals and forecasts monthly and be a team player, approachable, sharing the core values of the councils.
