Grange Community Primary School is seeking a caring, motivated, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and inspiring children in Early Years, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and creative learning activities in line with the National curriculum.
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Provide support for pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with observations, assessments, and record-keeping to monitor children’s progress and attainment.
  • Promote independence, resilience, and confidence through high-quality learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to meet each child’s individual needs.
  • Uphold the school’s values, behaviour expectations, and safeguarding policies at all times.

You will:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 1 or 2.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a positive team player with the ability to take initiative and adapt when needed.
  • Have a patient, kind, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Have a relevant qualification, e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
  • Have experience working within a primary school or KS1 setting (advantageous but not essential).
