Centre Academy East Anglia are seeking an ECT/GCSE English KS3/4 Teacher.

Overview:

  • To develop the learning of all students in the subject to ensure excellence.
  • To motivate and to work with others to create and develop a positive, collaborative learning culture.
  • To keep up to date with general and facility based pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning, actively implementing them where appropriate.
  • Consistent assessment and accurate teacher judgements within the subject.

Main responsibilities – Teaching and Learning

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
  • Develop effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Plan and implement engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities, ensuring that all our students feel included and supported in their learning.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their goals.
  • Ability to manage behaviour in the classroom to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Promote and monitor the use of school policies within the subject.
  • Promote a high standard of speaking, listening, writing and reading of English, for both students and colleagues.
  • Contribution to curriculum development and the enhancement of teaching resources which will help ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of the subject.
  • Attend relevant training courses to continue own professional development.
  • Establish positive working relationships among colleagues, modelling effective teamworking and support.
  • Develop positive communication with pupils and parents.
