The Bridge School is looking for an Assistant Headteacher (0.5 teaching time). The Bridge School is an excellent all-through school for SLD pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to join The Bridge School, part of Unity Schools Partnership. You may already be working in SEND or may wish to pursue a career in this sector.
Classes have between 8 to 12 pupils per class with teachers supported by a team of TA’s and Senior Leaders. At this exciting time for the school, we are looking for an inspirational leader to join our team with a passion for SEND and a creative, innovative approach to delivering the curriculum, to join us and make an impact on the learning of our students. We are looking for candidates with the motivation and determination to ensure that students make progress and also to improve and boost their experience.
The school serves a catchment area that covers Ipswich and surrounding areas of Suffolk. The school is based on two campuses, with the Felixstowe Campus having opened in September 2024 and our Hub which is on Bramford Lane. The school is part of a collaborative, forward thinking academy trust. Unity Schools Partnership will be creating a network of special schools working together, as well as already having special schools in Ipswich and Haverhill.
You will be supported in your role by experienced SEND leaders who will be available to offer advice and guidance as the school moves forward under their leadership. Significant training and development are available through opportunities for professional development, research, teacher training and collaboration between schools and across phases.
