As an Apprentice System Support Technician in the Highways Systems Support Team, you’ll see the direct impact of your work on the people we support. You’ll work with colleagues, partners, and communities to build trust, share ideas, and deliver services that make a lasting impact.
Your role and responsibilities
- Provide support to colleagues on the various digital systems and applications used within Suffolk Highways, and the wider Growth, Highways & Infrastructure directorate.
- Monitor the shared mailbox and pick up requests for support or training.
- Produce guidance documentation and videos on the systems we support.
- Collaborate with the asset data team on joint projects.
- Streamline processes using digital solutions.
Your apprenticeship
- Level 3 Digital Support Technician.
- Duration: 18 months.

You will have priority access when you apply for vacancies during the final 3 months of your contract.
You will need initiative and problem-solving skills to thrive in this support role. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, etc.) would be helpful. Our ideal candidate does not need to have all the technical expertise yet but should have a willingness to learn and develop.
