Overview
Woodbridge Town Council are seeking an organised and community aware person to take direct responsibility for the gardening and maintenance of the council’s wide and varied estate. Under the direction of the Estates Officer, you will become a recognisable and approachable member of the council’s staff and build relationships with the council’s tenants and park users.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the Assistant Gardener, and as a team work towards maintaining the overall appearance of the estate of the council, with high standards of garden maintenance throughout the year by way of best horticultural practice and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Understanding of horticultural tasks performed throughout the year
- Experience as a head gardener within a similar sized organisation/estate
- Experience of managing a small team of staff/gardeners
