Responsibilities
- Provide a business partnering support service to our schools and central team, offering advice and guidance to line managers on a range of HR management issues, ensuring compliance with the academic lifecycle, HR policies, employment law and current HR best practice.
- Manage a range of employee relations issues, including disciplinary, capability and grievance cases, and support organisational change projects including TUPE.
- Develop the skill and capacity of managers to empower them to manage people issues effectively and independently.
- Work on HR projects to ensure the service continually adds value to the organisation.
The role requires a combination of HR experience and expertise, along with interpersonal and technical skills, and the ability to establish credible relationships with a diverse range of people. Demonstrable HR business partnering skills in a complex environment are essential. HR experience in the education sector would be an advantage but is not essential, as training and support will be provided.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience as an HR generalist with solid employee relations experience.
- Demonstrable HR business partnering experience in a complex environment.
- Interpersonal and technical skills to build credible relationships across stakeholders.
- Relevant HR qualifications or equivalent experience (education sector experience is advantageous but not required).
