St Edmundsbury CE Primary Academy is part of Elveden Trust, a small Trust of three schools. A welcoming, caring team who aim to bring the best for both pupils and staff. We are looking for an Experienced School Office Manager or Finance Manager who can develop into a strategic leadership role, or for a current School Business Manager who will balance strategic leadership with supporting the smooth running of the office.
Key Responsibilities
- While the role will predominantly be strategic and overseeing finance, premises and HR, it will also include assisting with general office duties in the afternoons.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Warm and approachable – builds positive relationships with staff, parents and external partners
- Efficient and organised – manages school resources, finance and operations with professionalism and attention to detail
- Strategic and proactive – takes initiative and contributes to the long‑term planning and smooth running of the school.
- Knowledgeable in HR and administration – supports recruitment, staff records, contracts, the Single Central Record and ensures robust administrative systems
- Adaptable and flexible – able to respond to the dynamic needs of a busy school office
- Strong communicator who is discrete and trustworthy – maintains high communication levels, positively and clearly with confidence and integrity
