Riverwalk School, located in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 2PD, is looking for dedicated and friendly Midday Supervisory Assistants to join our wonderful staff team. We are looking for someone who has experience of organising and managing lunchtimes at school and understands the importance of lunchtimes as an integral part of our school day.
Duties include:
- Helping learners with their meals and their personal care
- Supervising them in their outdoor learning environments and classrooms
- Supporting with the supervision of pupils throughout the midday break, ensuring that a good atmosphere is maintained
- Supporting children with personal care and hygiene
- Encouraging children to have good eating habits and assisting young children as required
- Maintaining acceptable standards of behaviour, conduct, and safety as laid down in the school policies
- Managing playing activities in ways that keep learners safe
- Setting up and clearing down dining areas
- Assisting with the basic preparation and serving of all meals to staff and pupils as requested
- Washing up all associated equipment as may be required
- Ensuring that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy as requested
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed
- Completing general cleaning of the food areas
- Supporting Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants with day-to-day running of the classroom
