King Edward VI School are looking for external staff to join our team of Lunchtime Supervisors, preferably 5 days a week during term time. You will be responsible for a set area within the school, supervising our students and dealing with any issues as they arise. You will need to have clear and confident communication skills in supporting students to be safe and respectful during their lunchtime break. Teamwork will be key and you will be expected to always follow school policies. Experience of working with children and young people is not essential, more a willingness to show an interest in them and their lunchtime activities will help create those positive relationships with our young people.
King Edward VI CEVC School is a successful, oversubscribed 11-16 school with 1200 students on roll. We are situated in the historic town of Bury St Edmunds, surrounded by beautiful countryside – just over an hour by train to London, and with close links to the A14. We will offer you the opportunity to work with a supportive team of colleagues with a focus on putting our students at the centre of everything we do.
As a school we are committed to the highest standards of safeguarding for the children in our care. As a member of the lunchtime supervision team, you will be trained in the basics of keeping children safe and how to report Child Protection/Safeguarding concerns.
