Job Details

  • Suffolk County Council – Jobs available countywide across Suffolk
  • Salary from £24,404 per annum with performance-related pay progression, up to £27,269 per annum (pro rata for part time)
  • Enhanced pay rates for Sundays paid at time and one fifth per hour
  • Paid mileage, travel time, and for Bank Holidays
  • Full-time or flexible part-time hours from 7.5 to 37 hours per week, on an early, late shift rota including alternate weekends
  • Casual bank hours at £15.08 per hour, with evening and weekend work options on some contracts
  • Permanent position

Role Overview

Suffolk County Council’s Home First service provides short-term reablement care to help individuals stay independent at home. As a Reablement Support Worker (RSW), you will be a caring, motivated individual dedicated to supporting others. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive induction, training, and team support will be provided. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a fully funded Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care to further your career.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
  • Promote health, wellbeing, and independence
  • Develop and implement care and enablement plans
  • Provide advice and guidance for informed decision-making
  • Assist with personal care needs with dignity
  • Engage with clients, families, and other stakeholders
  • Encourage and promote long-term independence and safety
  • Monitor and review client progress against care plans
  • Complete and maintain accurate records for reviews
