Your Role And Responsibilities

  • As part of a team providing administrative and financial support to our Social Care and Family Support Practitioners across the North and East Ipswich and Coastal locality you will have a varied workload.
  • You will be supervising a small team of Administrators in our Ipswich office, as well as contributing to the overall management of the wider team in our Felixstowe and Leiston offices too. This will include recruitment, training, regular staff supervisions and performance reviews.
  • You will use your excellent communication skills to provide advice and guidance to staff on a range of administrative procedures, monitoring workloads and ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales. Being based in the Ipswich office you will also be our ‘go to’ person in relation to office and premises related queries.

Qualifications and Skills

  • a good working knowledge of budget administration, following financial policies and procedures
  • experience of managing/supervising staff in an office environment
  • excellent IT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • excellent organisational skills working on your own initiative as well as effectively as part of a team

The Team

Our Administration team provides high quality administrative support to the Practitioners and Managers supporting children and families across our locality area. We are a friendly, solution-focused team and you will have the full support of your fellow team members both within the local and wider team, together with opportunities to continue to learn and develop your skills. Whilst we practice hybrid working, all the team members are expected to spend part of their week working from the office. We see this as an important part of building and maintaining relationships and knowledge as well as an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in person across our service.
