We have an opportunity for a band 6 equivalent nurse to join our Public Health & Diagnostics Team to work closely with the NHS Health Checks Operations Manager to ensure the service is delivered safely and meets quality requirements.

What is the role?

  • Delivery of training for staff undertaking a health check – Fed internal team, Community Pharmacies & GP Practices as necessary
  • Keeping Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) up to date / relevant
  • Quality oversight and supervision of HCA’s undertaking checks
  • Quality oversight of Pharmacies undertaking checks – through quality measures in subcontract which includes POCT (Point of Care Testing) devices and IQA/EQA arrangements
  • Quality oversight of Practices undertaking checks – through quality measures in subcontract which includes POCT (Point of Care Testing) devices and IQA/EQA arrangements

We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.

Contract type: Permanent Part time - 15 hours per week
