Can you influence how an entire organisation grows, performs, and feels to work in? Shape the future of a growing, people‑first business. We’re not your typical waste and facilities management company. Yes, we keep things running smoothly and sustainably but what really sets us apart is how we think about our people. With around 500 colleagues and ambitious growth plans, we’re in the middle of a significant transformation. And we’re looking for an Organisational Development Director to help define what comes next. This is a rare opportunity to design, build and embed a modern, high‑impact OD strategy in a commercial, fast‑moving environment where your work will genuinely make a difference.
The role As our Organisational Development Director, you’ll sit at the heart of the business, working as part of the senior leadership team to create a culture where people thrive and performance follows. You’ll define our approach to leadership development, talent strategy, organisational design, and cultural transformation. This role isn’t about writing strategies. It’s about bringing them to life and embedding them in the business, so they stick and drive real impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and delivering a clear, compelling OD strategy aligned to our business goals.
- Shaping our leadership capability to build confident, accountable, and inspiring leaders.
- Driving a high‑performance, values‑led culture that people genuinely want to be part of.
- Leading talent, succession, and workforce planning to support our continued growth.
- Supporting organisational design and change initiatives across the business.
- Championing engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing in a way that feels authentic rather than overly corporate.
- Using data and insight to continuously improve how we develop our people.
What we’re looking for:
- A proven OD leader who’s comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on levels.
- Experience in a commercial, operational environment (multi‑site or frontline workforce is a plus).
- Someone who can influence, challenge, and build trust at senior levels.
- A natural collaborator who brings energy, curiosity, and fresh thinking.
- Strong track record of delivering meaningful cultural and organisational change.
- A genuine belief that great businesses are built on great people.
Why join us? Because this isn’t about maintaining what already exists. It’s about building something better for our people and our future. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how a growing business thinks about its people and leave a lasting impact on its culture, leadership, and performance. We’re ambitious, pragmatic, and people focused. We move quickly, support each other, and take pride in what we do. If you’re looking for a role where your ideas will be heard and you can see the impact of your work every day, you’ll feel right at home here.
Closing date 11.30 pm, 31 May 2026. Interview date 16 June 2026.
