We are looking for a well organised, flexible, and committed individual to join our friendly office team working in a busy school office at Hadleigh Community Primary School and Nursery.
We require someone to work every Monday 8.45am to 1.30pm and Friday from 8.45am to 3.30pm during school term time and also on a minimum of 2 PD Days each academic year. However, we are seeking flexibility to change working days/work additional days to suit the workload within the office and support other team members.
You will be responsible for providing support with the finance, administration and organisational processes within the school:
- Work closely with the School Business Manager processing invoices, VAT return and imputing bank payments and the credit card reconciliation onto our Arbor Finance system.
- Work with the admin team to assist with answering phones, talking to parents, visitors and other stakeholders at the office window.
- Cover for the receptionist may be required from time to time.
- Manage lettings of the school buildings, including invoicing, checking correct paperwork is in place and policies are updated.
- Work with the School Business Manager to keep paperwork for the Governing Body updated, prepare for Governor meetings and update Governor Hub with relevant documents.
- Be an ambassador for the school and embody the value, vision and ethos of HCPS in all interactions.
- Report directly to the School Business Manager.
You will have:
- A GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in English and maths (essential).
- Experience of working with finance systems (advantageous).
- Good communication and ICT skills (experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel).
- A positive attitude.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment (advantageous).
