Your role and responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of a small, dynamic team involved in decarbonising transport in Suffolk through the provision of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with our Chargepoint Operator to take forward installations in planning conservation areas, reviewing scheme proposals and coordinating feedback from internal colleagues.
  • Engaging with landowners such as Parish Councils and Village Halls to supply charge points at their car parks, requiring strong communication skills to explain complex information.
  • Maintaining meticulous records of project stages and installations, supported by excellent IT skills and attention to detail.
  • Focusing on the Plug in Suffolk Car Club trial and its potential expansion, reporting to funding bodies and liaising with the commercial partner, Co‑Wheels.
  • Line managing one of the Project Support Officers, supervising, supporting and coaching them in their work.

Key requirements include:

  • Outstanding project management skills and a meticulous approach to maintaining project documentation and records.
  • Experience in managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • A genuine passion for helping Suffolk tackle its carbon emissions, particularly those associated with transportation.
  • A willingness to learn about legal/property transactions required to secure LEVI sites owned by third parties.
  • Excellent attention to detail to identify errors in site drawings and legal documents.
