Inspire is looking for an Employment and Skills Coach (East Suffolk). We are looking to recruit Employment and Skills Coaches to join our team, supporting young people across Suffolk to build confidence, develop skills, and progress into education, employment or training.

What will the job entail?

  • Diverse youth support: work with young people with diverse needs to support them into education, employment or training, tailoring assistance to address individual challenges and aspirations.
  • Caseload management: efficiently manage a caseload of young participants, ensuring 100% engagement and progression and track progress through data entry via the VIEWS CRM system.
  • Delivering guidance: deliver impartial Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG), offering support in crafting CVs, navigating job searches, and preparing for interviews.
  • Workshop delivery and engagement: conduct 1-to-1 and group workshops, emphasising employability skills, job search techniques, and consistent engagement with a caseload.
  • Vacancy matching: screen and match candidates with local job and training opportunities, as well as recruiting for internal programmes.
  • Rural engagement: find innovative methods to connect with rural youth who face transport challenges, ensuring accessibility to our services beyond the main hub.
  • Outcome-driven performance: proactively achieve KPIs, targeting 55% of young people placed into employment and 25% progressing to further training or education.
  • Stakeholder relationship management: serve as the primary point of contact for local youth, referral partners, and parents/guardians, fostering strong community relationships.
  • Labour market monitoring and expertise: actively engage with external partners and local employers to maintain current and relevant Labour Market Information (LMI).

You will:

  • deliver engaging employability and skills support.
  • work independently and manage a varied caseload.

You will ideally have experience working with young people in youth work, education, or employability settings, and have knowledge of delivering information, advice and guidance (IAG). Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle will be required along with an Enhanced DBS.
