Your role and responsibilities
- In this varied and rewarding role, you'll be at the heart of the Healthy Living Service, providing high-quality administrative, financial and business support that helps our teams deliver positive outcomes for children and young people aged 0-19 (and up to 25 for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- On a typical day, you might:
- coordinate and manage a range of administrative, financial, HR and IT processes that keep the service running smoothly
- act as a friendly, professional first point of contact for colleagues, partners and customers
- maintain accurate data and records to support service planning, performance reporting and decision-making
- organise meetings and events, including diary management, agenda preparation and minute taking
- support projects by carrying out research, arranging meetings, tracking actions and flagging issues
- prepare reports, presentations and communications for a range of audiences
- monitor financial information, supporting budgets and identifying any irregularities
- share your knowledge and expertise with colleagues, providing guidance and informal training where needed
- work collaboratively with partners and internal teams to help achieve the best outcomes for children and young people
- identify and elevate safeguarding or risk concerns promptly and appropriately
- collect, input and maintain up-to-date data records to shape service planning and reporting
- provide a range of information, research and reports in support of your service area as required, this may include processing financial or statistical information and the use of specific IT systems including SystmOne and databases.
You will need

The team
The team will ensure delivery of the Children and Young Peoples Healthy Living Service within Public Health and Communities across Suffolk for children and young people, aged 0-19 years, and their families. Extending up to the age of 25 years for young people with SEND. The service will support families to ensure that children grow up to be healthy, safe and able to sustain healthy lives.
