Home First provides short-term reablement care to help people stay independent in their own homes. As a Reablement Support Worker, you will be part of a caring, dedicated team making a real impact in your community.
Salary and hours
- Salary: From £25,185 per annum, with pay progression up to £28,142 per annum (pro rata for part time)
- Hours: From 22.5 hours – 30 hours per week, with additional hours available
- Contract: Permanent
Posts available and locations
- 4 x 22.5 hours per week (Sudbury)
- 6 x 22.5 hours per week (Saxmundham)
- 3 x 30 hours per week (Lowestoft)
Requirements
- Valid driving licence and access to a car
- No prior experience required; you will receive induction and training
Your role and responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and their family carers, promoting health, wellbeing, and independence
- Support individuals through personalised care plans and short-term enablement strategies
- Assist with dignified personal care needs and explore alternative ways of meeting long-term needs
- Promote services that enable safe, independent living at home, monitor progress against care plans, and maintain accurate records for ongoing reviews
- Contribute to a role that provides genuine job satisfaction by helping people maintain independence at home
Flexible hours and salary
- Full time or flexible part-time hours available from 7.5 to 37 hours per week, on an early, late shift rota including alternate weekends.
- Bank, flexible casual hours are available (paid at £15.08 per hour).
- Evening and/or weekend working is available on some contracts.
- Shift patterns include early (7am – 3pm) and late (2.30pm – 10.30pm).
- For a 16-hour flexible contract, shorter shifts include 7am – 11am or 6.30pm – 10.30pm.
- All full shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break.

- Payment for mileage, travel time, and any hours worked on bank holidays
- Enhanced rate of time-and-a-half per hour for Sunday shifts

Travel requirements
This role involves travelling to people’s homes in rural locations and driving in various weather conditions, possibly in darkness. A valid driving licence and access to a car are required. If you can meet travel requirements by other means, please get in touch before applying.
