Exning Primary School – KS2 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Exning, Newmarket, Suffolk CB8 7EWS
Contract: Fixed Term until August 2027, starting September 2026
Hours: 31 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Salary: £27,255 – £29,541 per annum pro rata (£18,888 – £20,472 actual)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of high‑quality provision across Key Stage 2.
- Cover class teaching when required.
- Work closely with small groups and individual learners to build confidence and develop essential skills.
- Play an active role in lesson delivery and support teaching staff.
- Contribute to a calm and purposeful learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified HLTA capable of covering class teaching.
- Experience with primary‑level approaches desirable.
- Experience supporting students with SEND, especially SEMH, ASD or ADHD valued but not essential.
- Flexible, compassionate approach with the ability to adapt support to a range of learning needs.
