Responsibilities

  • Communicating and engaging with children, young people and their families, with colleagues and with communities.
  • Service Quality and Performance – Provide strategic leadership and direct management of a specific area of service to shape and develop services to achieve the best possible outcomes for children, young people and their families.
  • Reporting and Accurate Recording – Take the lead for performance and quality assurance within the area of responsibility.
  • Effective Practice – Ensure safe, timely and effective transition of cases between teams and manage demand based on the best interests of children, young people and families where appropriate to role.
  • Managing People, Resources and Projects – Dynamically manage team, projects, or resources to deliver high quality and effective services.
  • Multi-Agency and Partnership Working – Actively build and maintain internal and external relationships with partners, communities and the public.
  • Managing Risk and Safeguarding – To manage risk and safeguarding concerns as appropriate to role and lead a risk sensible culture in area of work.

Qualifications

  • You will hold a relevant Social Work qualification, be registered as a qualified social worker with Social Work England and be suitably experienced in working with children and families.
  • You will have strong, evidence-based assessment skills, proven analytical and critical thinking and a sound working knowledge of child development, child protection, SB thresholds and Signs of Safety principles.

Salary and Hours

  • Salary: Β£48,163 – Β£53,788 per annum (pro rata for part time) (This role includes performance related pay progression)
  • Hours: 30 hours per week (8:45am-17:20pm) – Flexible working options available
  • Contract: Permanent
