Whitehouse Community Primary School are looking for a Site Maintenance Worker to join the team. Working under the direction of the Site Manager, you will have responsibility for leading a team of cleaners, doing in‑house repairs and improvements as well as contributing to the overall management and security of the site.
Responsibilities
- Locking and securing the site each evening and unlocking in the morning if cover is required
- Routine and emergency site repairs, maintenance and refurbishment
- Contributing to the planned preventative maintenance routines
- Routine health and safety and site checks
- Liaising with contractors
- Porterage
- Ad‑hoc cleaning
Qualifications
- A range of DIY skills, including plumbing and carpentry
- Excellent working knowledge of the maintenance and development of an educational or commercial setting
- Understanding of building regulations and health and safety policies
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
- The ability to prioritise the tasks in hand
- Resilience, and the ability to work unsupervised and as part of an effective team
