This role is open to full time, part time, and job share applications, all of which will be assessed equally.
We are looking for an experienced Digital Content Producer to join our Communications Team. The successful person will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents and communities.
About the role:
- You will work with the Communications Team to create digital content promoting Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils’ work, priorities and campaigns – keeping a range of different audiences informed.
- This role will focus on the creation of brilliant and engaging content for our social media channels, website and internal communications. This will include taking pictures and shooting video, working alongside the communications team to plan content.
- You will use different digital media platforms; analytics will help guide decision-making, and you will ensure we are producing content which can reach different audiences.
About you:
- We are looking for a Digital Content Producer with a proven track record of delivering engaging video and pictures for a business or organisation.
- You will have a clear understanding of what makes good content, be creative and have a genuine interest in social media and its changing trends.
- You will show an awareness of the types of content that a local authority could and should be sharing with residents and staff – including how to make it accessible and engaging.
- You should be confident with good communication and IT skills, be politically aware, and be prepared to lead the discussions on the types of content we should produce.
- You will need to hold a full UK driving licence as this role requires frequent travel around our districts, sometimes in rural locations.
