Role
Cover Manager – Lead the day‑to‑day management of staff absence and classroom cover arrangements across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deploy cover staff to ensure learning continues smoothly.
- Manage staff absence records and support effective operation of the cover budget.
- Work closely with senior leaders, heads of department and support the cover team.
- Line‑manage and support development of the cover team, maintaining high standards of service.
Requirements
- Confident and resilient, with excellent organisational, communication and time‑management skills.
- Experience of managing people, working to tight deadlines, using IT systems effectively and maintaining accurate records.
- Prior experience in an educational setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of school management systems such as Arbor is desirable.

- Capability to build positive working relationships with colleagues across the school.
- Work starting at 7:00 am Monday to Friday.
