Ipswich Borough Council is about to see the biggest changes to waste and recycling which will impact our residents in Ipswich and all our businesses. It’s an exciting time to join us! We are seeking various operational positions to join us in March 2026 and to be part of the Council’s refuse and cleansing team: Refuse Cat C Drivers and Refuse Relief Drivers.
Requirements
- A Category C driving licence and driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card
- Be able to load refuse bins each day
- Confidence in using handheld tablets to record information (training will be provided)
- Demonstrate self-awareness and a confident approach to health and safety
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Effective communication skills
- Experience working as a team with a can-do attitude
- Able to do early starts from 5am and variations to finishing times required
