Your role and responsibilities:

  • This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will support the coordination of referrals, information and processes across Family Help.
  • You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, responding to changing demands and maintaining accuracy when working with sensitive information that helps children and families receive support when they need it most.
  • You will be central to how the service operates, bringing together information, supporting decision-making and ensuring work progresses safely and efficiently.
  • You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and responding flexibly to changing service demands.
  • Maintain accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail when working under pressure and handling sensitive information.
  • Gather and collate background information to support informed decision-making.
  • Organise and support meetings and formal processes, including preparing information and taking accurate records.
  • Provide support for legal and court processes, including maintaining records and liaising with partners.
  • Ensure information is shared appropriately and promptly with colleagues and partners.
  • Provide administrative and systems support, helping teams to work effectively and resolve issues.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer care and communication with families and professionals.
  • Contribute to performance monitoring, data returns and service improvement.
  • Manage competing priorities and changing demands, ensuring work remains accurate, timely and well organised.
  • Support the smooth running of services in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgement, resilience and professionalism.

You will work within safeguarding and statutory frameworks, ensuring information is handled accurately, sensitively and in line with policy and guidance.

You will need:

  • Our ideal candidate will bring a Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant area.

  • The ability to prioritise effectively, use sound judgement and make informed decisions within established processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, families and partner agencies.

  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring children and families receive timely support.

We would also welcome:

  • Experience of working within children's services, Family Help, safeguarding or other multi-agency environments.
  • Experience of supporting statutory processes or working within highly regulated services.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, case management systems and data handling.
