Alde Valley Academy are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Head of Year (Teaching) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented classroom practitioner who is passionate about pastoral leadership and committed to ensuring students achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
You will lead and support a designated year group, providing strong pastoral care, promoting high expectations and fostering a positive culture of achievement, attendance and behaviour. Working closely with students, families, teaching staff and external agencies, the Head of Year will play a vital role in ensuring every student feels supported, challenged and valued.
Alongside the Head of Year responsibilities, you must have the ability to teach either English or music as your core subject across key stage 3 and 4.
You will:
