We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council\’s Housing Team as Head of Landlord Services.
The role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Landlord Services to join our Housing Leadership Team. Working closely and collaboratively with the Head of Housing, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward the Council\’s Housing Landlord Improvement Plan.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to both strategic and tactical planning, shaping the future of our housing services while ensuring the highest standards of delivery. You will provide clear leadership, uphold our values, and inspire a culture of integrity, optimism, and purpose across the Housing Landlord Service.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of service objectives within your areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Actively contribute to corporate priorities including business and financial planning, workforce development, and organisational change initiatives.
• Support emergency incident responses and promote a collaborative, cross-service approach to problem-solving.
• Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of the Housing Landlord Improvement Plan.
• Work as part of the Housing Leadership Team to ensure services are customer-focused, efficient, and aligned to the council\’s strategic vision.
About You
You will bring strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams through change. You will have proven experience in housing service delivery, an in-depth understanding of relevant legislation, and a track record of delivering improvement plans successfully. Collaborative working, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think strategically are essential.
