East Bergholt CEVC Primary School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). Make a real difference every day, join a school where every child is truly known and valued. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team for four days per week (12.15 pm to 3.20 pm fixed term until 31 August 2027). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development and who wants to play a key role in helping all pupils achieve their full potential. This role will include a lunchtime duty.

About the role:

  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of needs.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, helping to deliver interventions and adapted learning.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to develop confidence, engagement, and independence.
  • Support the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Contribute to assessment and progress monitoring through observations and feedback.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is proactive and takes initiative in supporting learning.
  • Has a strong work ethic and is committed, reliable, and willing to contribute fully to school life.
  • Has a positive, nurturing approach with children of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is patient, flexible, and resilient, with a good sense of humour.
  • Is committed to inclusion and believes in every child’s potential.
  • Is keen to grow and develop professionally as part of a supportive team.
  • Has appropriate literacy and mathematics qualifications (or equivalent).

Experience working in schools or with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
