Job Description
We are looking for a newly qualified Social Worker to join the Children and Young People’s service at Suffolk County Council.
Key Information
- Location: Various locations in Suffolk – Hybrid working.
- Hours: 37 hours per week, flexible working options available.
- Contract: Permanent.
- Salary: £34,434 per annum (rising to £37,280 per annum), pro‑rata for part‑time.
- Retention payment: £1,500, increasing to £4,000 upon successful completion of the ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) programme.
Key Responsibilities
Support children and their families, helping them find solutions, promoting their rights and empowering them to thrive. As part of a regulated, highly skilled team, you will facilitate child‑oriented assessments, work within relevant legislation and frameworks, and collaborate with practice managers and other professionals to ensure positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Relevant social work qualification and Social Work England registration.
- Full and current driving licence; access to personal transport, or meet the mobility requirements via other reasonable means.
