West Suffolk College is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Lecturer in Groundworks to support our dedicated teaching team.

About the role

In this role, you will deliver engaging and industry‑relevant teaching in areas such as groundwork, reinstatement, and construction practices. Your expertise will help equip students and apprentices with the essential knowledge and hands‑on skills required for success in the civil engineering and construction sectors. We are particularly interested in candidates with practical experience in groundwork and reinstatement within construction settings. Holding relevant industry qualifications and assessment qualifications (e.g. TAQA or equivalent) would be highly beneficial. While teaching experience is desirable, we also welcome applicants who are willing to undertake teacher training as part of their professional development. Ideally you will possess excellent organisational and communication skills and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting learners’ academic progress and professional development.
